FSA Retention Spaces
(For graduates of Foundations in somatic abolitionism)

FSA Retention Spaces: what are they and who are they for?
Resmaa and Carlin will be offering FSA retention spaces for Bodies of Culture and White Bodies throughout 2023.
These retention spaces are for anyone who has completed the Foundations in Somatic Abolitionism course and who wants a place to ask questions and be in community with other participants and their questions.
FSA Retention Spaces will be Emergent and based on participant engagement.
These spaces will be emergent and not – the content is not pre-planned, and it will be based on the material that comes from the group. At times the facilitators may work with participants one-on-one, other times it will be a Q&A format, and other times there may be break-out rooms. Please come prepared to engage with the material, with the community, and with emergent content.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DETAILS
This registration page is only for graduates of the FSA program offered through ERE. Please do not share this link with non-FSA graduates.
Resmaa Menakem will be holding the spaces for Bodies of Culture and Black Bodies.
Carlin Quinn will be holding all of the spaces for White bodies.
Fee: SLIDING SCALE $35-$75
Please pay as high on the sliding scale as possible to make it possible for us to offer partial and full scholarships for those who cannot afford the low end of the sliding scale.
Video Recordings will not be available for this event:
Due to the fact that facilitators will be working one-on-one with participants, video recordings of these sessions will not be available after the event. Therefore, if you miss the session you have registered we will not be able to send you a recording of the session.
CAMERA ON POLICY: We want to share a direct request from Resmaa and our facilitators. One of the key aspects of facilitating a space online in somatic abolitionism is that the facilitators need to be able to see the faces and body language of participants, to read the room and work with the somatic information that comes from body language.
In order to participate in a program of somatic abolitionism we ask all participants to keep your camera on throughout the session. If you have a medical reason for needing to have your camera off occasionally, please communicate that to our team ahead of time. If your camera is off for more than 15 minutes and we haven’t heard from you, Resmaa has asked us to place people in the waiting from for the duration of the session.
We also require that you NOT be driving in your car or in a public space while attending this event.
REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS / TRANSFERS
Cancellations requested up to 14 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations requested within 14 days of the event are not eligible for a refund, however they can be transferred to another retention space in 2023.
Date transfers are available up until 7 days prior to the event.

Refunds / cancellations / transfers / DISPUTES
Cancellations requested up to 14 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund minus a $75 administration fee.
Cancellations requested within 14 days of the event are not eligible for a refund.
For the FSA Only: Transfers to a different event date are available up until 7 days prior to the event. Your registration is limited to two transfers, and once your registration has been transferred it is no longer eligible for a refund.
Your payment will appear on your credit card statement as “EDU for Racial Equity”. If your payment is disputed with your credit card company – we will be passing the $15 service fee that Stripe charges us for that process to the registrant.
