EMBODIED ANTI-RACIST INTENSIVE FOR WHITE BODIES:
Level Two
Open to the GRADUATES OF ERE’s Embodied Anti Racist Intensive: Level One
An opportunity for white and white passing bodies to begin the work of building embodied anti-racist culture, together.
With Carlin Quinn
with special guests Jennifer-Lee Koble
April 21 – 24, 2023
9am – 1pm PDT / 11am – 3pm CDT / 12pm – 4pm EDT each day
What does it mean for White bodies to develop embodied anti-racist culture?
In this course, we will continue to engage the practices of somatic abolitionism to begin to build embodied anti-racist culture as white bodies, together.
This course is a next step for those who completed the Level One intensive course with Carlin Quinn, Jennifer-Lee Koble, and Resmaa Menakem and who wish to go deeper.
In this level two course, we will continue to engage the practices of somatic abolitionism, communally and personally. We’ll dive deeper into the somatic toys and the intersectional complexities of our subjugated selves and our relationship to land, land theft, and how we connect to being colonial settlers on stolen land.
We will focus on holding ourselves and holding each other, in community. We will also lean in to giving each other “in the moment” feedback to get our reps in and practice using our loving perception and our individual voices to create a space of fiercely loving accountability. This is the work of communal glue building and these 4 days will be a practice space for this.
There will be a combination of lecture, group process, guest speakers, one-on-one exercises, and triad work.
April 21 – 24th: 9am – 1pm PT / 11am – 3pm / 12pm – 4pm
