A Living Practice

The problem is not people being uneducated. The problem is that people are educated just enough to believe what they have been taught, and not educated enough to question anything from what they have been taught.

Centering Anti-Racist
and Relational Education

About

Uprooting racist socialization isn’t easy or comfortable. Meaningful change requires a long-standing commitment to creating new cultural standards. Anti-racism is a living practice.

ERE’s approach to racial equity is designed to facilitate transformation in participants’ lives and communities. We do this through a variety of offerings: BIPOC-only events, white-only events, and cross-racial events held by skillful visionary facilitators.

For white bodies attending our events:

We hope that our work together on anti-racism education supports you to uproot the ways in which you uphold white supremacy. We ask that you expect and embrace discomfort throughout the practice of this work. As we sharpen our understanding of our own racialized experience, we are more equipped to transform it.

We will meet with you with compassion– and, maintaining your comfort is not our priority. We invite you to grow through actively engaging Anti-racist practice within community.

For bodies of culture attending our events:

We acknowledge the impact of how few spaces have been created for bodies of culture  to heal together. We are dedicated to creating spaces that provide you an experience of solidarity and support.

Our skilled facilitators are gifted at creating nourishing and transformative experiences for communities of color.

Our Values

Our Approach to Change

“I believe we are here on the planet Earth to live, grow up and do what we can to make this world a better place for all people to enjoy freedom.”
